Parade

Montage of sliver shorn gives graphic hurt
Its last owned ivy tangent to there vanities imposed

Repeat dreams have to do with who has dreamed them
And the tired face of latitude allaying fear

The secretive alignment between a stowaway and
Gaps in the trade level earn conglomerate hysteria

Continue to embrace light at a busy clip
Deranged as slowly as the syncopated vanishing

For now the ample voyage calls containment
Stained as virtue thought to be a staple fast

Divisive permanence estranged at cost contributed
To running water's virtuosity intact past averages

Silenced

Depresso vintage domino yet
Cauterize the lock from denigrato
Silverage when spun or shaken
Noblesse silvers what we would expect
To weigh inveighing jitters
Let us say the slots are ready
To have placed pacem in terrazzo
Buyout as selective salvo
Prominently swollen cast as
Lighthouse purview silenced
Fast as feathers pantomime their fall

Rest, Listen

Saxophone decrees a votive salt
(Do you agree)
Expend some lycra syllables
At pierced sayings
Glommed onto by persuasive
Senators in kind
The midst frees arbors from their stance
Commits to laking down
The tethers once to a degree
And now the sentence comes
To an almost halt

Waiting

Some swift afternoon a mass
Production overleaf has dried
In full view of the stressed
Syllabics, vibrant

Stones played softly by the water,
Shorn freshness bracketed
What safety equals tulip after
Texture, royal as completion

Pointedly alert and calico-ed
To trill against the censure
Made-to-order water
Watching how the rinse goes

Soft to close the photograph
Where darkness crafts
Presumed light, a pressed
Flower early as the act of transposition

Unless

Design the act of cherishing
Some something as a known
Reprieve from gathering
Promotional and moving water

The loss of morning light
Desists from being southern
As a willpoint, as a chapter
Read and understood

This life has been
Impertinent until amendment
Comes and chafes
The instant animosity

The valiant sequestering
Of habitat so soon
The water amplifies
As worth goes silent green unless

4/30/02

Slips of tulip plants lived in a circle in her yard
She watered yellow ones and red with rusted sprinkling can

A photographic memory is the same as not
Quite letting go, or does this presume unbidden ability

When it rains the planet simplifies the way we work
Foreknowledge means one number at a time, one square of land

All living things release themselves from curfews and from chaperones
Some motion that appears ballet is really only an escape

Chastity is more than living without sin, it constitutes commitment
To invigorating solitude, inner caffeine and constant praise

Surface streets surround this yard with medleys of distraction
Look at the butter yellow of these dandelions abandoned

Crafted statues mimic life forms minting fractions of delight
The inner sanctum of organic bother shows refrain

Hosanna chapters liberate true worth of spirit looming
Out in the open where the mist and sun equally fall

My Mother's Gone, I Drink Caffeine

My mother's gone, I drink caffeine

I drink caffeine so leisurely, I dream

I dream my mother's smile, her whistling,

Her whistling has redeemed me, I am polyphony itself,

I am polyphony itself, the dream guise softens

The dream guise softens, every episode relaxes

Every episode relaxes even furniture, the facial muscles fall

The facial muscles fall to gravity postponed

To gravity postponed we owe our stationary averages

Our stationary averages lead to textures

To textures not in evidence against the status quo

Against the status quo my mother's gone

My mother's gone, I drink caffeine
